My goal is to help fellow mamas (and mamas-to-be) to look better and feel better, emotionally and physically, as they deal with the stresses and strains of pregnancy and motherhood.
As a mom and a yoga instructor, I can provide a personalized yoga practice based on your unique needs, with gentle instruction and guidance, as well as information and tools to help with labor and birth.
There is no better exercise for the expectant mother than yoga. It will give you energy, alleviate pain and swelling, keep you focused and calm and help prepare you for birth. Practicing yoga during pregnancy is a safe, gentle method of building strength, flexibility and promoting circulation. Yoga can also help eliminate back and leg pain, sore or cramped muscles, and swelling caused by water retention. With an emphasis on breathing and relaxing, yoga can reduce insomnia and help the expectant mom manage stress and anxiety.
Postnatal and Mommy/Baby yoga can help you to gently get back in shape after the birth, and bond with your baby doing some light exercise. I will also teach you some basic baby massage that will help stimulate your baby's muscles and help with development.
